Noordhoek is a suburb of Cape Town and is located directly below the Chapman's Peak and about a 35km drive away from the city. The English translation of the suburb literally means "the northern corner". Noordhoek is well know for its long and wide beach which stretches as far as Kommetjie. On the beach you will also find a wreck of a steamship called Kakapo which ran aground about 100 years ago.
