The Knysna Elephant Park was founded in 1994, along the Garden Route, and the first of its kind in South Africa. It is a home for orphaned elephants and offers visitors a taste of nature in an area where huge herds of elephants roamed many years ago. The Knysna Elephant Park is open every day of the year. The guided day tours to the Knysna elephants occur every half hour from 8.30 - 16.30. Here you have the opportunity to touch, feed and photograph these gentle giants. There are no barriers or fences to spoil your experience, and should the elephants decide to wander back into the field, you are welcome to walk with them and watch. We also offer Garden Route accommodation on our website. Below you will find pictures of the Knysna Elephant Park. Please click on each photo to view it in its original size.
