The actual wine region starts about 25 km outside of Cape Town towards Bellville / Durbanville. The wine area Durbanville has a major advantage compared to more distant vineyards, because of its central location to the sea. However, quite close to Cape Town you can visit the oldest wine region of Cape Town. Constantia is located about 15 km from Cape Town. Combine the trip to Constantia with an outing to the Botanical Garden of Kirstenbosch, which is located on the back of Table Mountain. If you have already experienced the traditional wine regions, we would like to recommend a short tour to the village of Philadelphia located in the vicinity of Durbanville.
